A story is told of a boy who was drawing a picture. His teacher asked what he was drawing.??“I’m drawing a picture of Jesus, miss,” he replied.??“But, Johnny, we don’t know what Jesus looked like.”?Johnny paused for a moment, perked up, and said, “but they will when I’ve finished”

Text: John 17:20-25

"I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word21

that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.22

And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:23

I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.24

Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world25

O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.

It is a fact of creation that every living thing possesses its own glory and exists for the purpose of manifesting that glory.

One of the greatest tragedies today is not death but a living a life that does not reveal your true God given glory.

Have you ever heard the phrase, “They are in their glory?” What does that mean? They are portraying, demonstrating, revealing that which they were created for in the environment that enhances it. In other words, the glory of a thing is its true essence and nature.

Therefore glory is the hidden truth of all created things. The purpose of mankind is to manifest the glory of God within them so all may see He who designed, manufactured and created you in His image.

1.)  The Glory of God reveals His craftsmanship in man:

Tourists visit Rome to view the ancient city frozen in time. The Sistine Chapel holds the works of the Michelangelo. The masterpiece painting on the ceiling has become one of the greatest wonders of the world and captivates the hearts and minds of would be artist.

What is it that is so attractive? It is the manifestation of hidden glory. He filled the earth with his glory. His painting was a seed of who he was. His painting was a legacy left for all to witness what God planted in his mind.

“ you need the right environment to manifest your true nature. Glory is released when the conditions  are right and demands are made on it.” Myles Munroe

Don’t take your glory to the cemetery but make it manifest!

• Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel unsure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

As we let our own Light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. erroneously credited to Nelson Mandela

Ps 19:1 “ David said, “ The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of your hands.”

The Glory of God is the full nature of God on display!

Hebrew word for declare means to “show forth” or “display”

God is a creator by nature, and His creation displays His creativity or His glory.

All men must realize that we all possess glory given by God that is crying out for exposure. He has the prescription that can unlock that Glory in you.

Matthew 5:16 “ Let men see your good works and glorify your

Father who is in heaven.”

2.)  The glory of God reveals in creation:

The glory we see in creation pales to the reflection of the greater glory of the creator Himself.

Isaiah 6:3 “ Holy…the whole earth is full of His glory.”

“There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of that terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, another from the moon, another from the stars…”

Psalm 29:1-2 “ Ascribe to the Lord, O mighty ones, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.”

To “Ascribe” means to “attribute” to someone a specific action, behavior, or quality of character. Whenever you recognize a certain trait as being characteristic of someone, you consider that trait to be characteristic of that persons character.

Attribute also means to give tribute, offer respect, gratitude, love, appreciation, worth, honor, integrity or even accomplishment.

So when we attribute creation to God we are saying that He alone is responsible. God has put himself on display through the creation.

So what really is the glory of God or the glory of the stars etc?

Kabod means heavy or weighty. It also means fullness or full weight. The visible manifestation of God.

Isaiah 6:3 “ God’s glory filling the earth”  Kabod refers to “that reputation for greatness which God alone deserves and the reality of His presence.

The greatest display of the glory of God was through His son Jesus.

John 1:14 “ The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only who came from the father full of grace and truth.”

Again glory means DOXA and is used to describe “the nature and acts of God in self-manifestation”  What he is and what he does.

DOXA is the revealed perfection of God’s character, righteousness and the exhibition of His attributes and ways. They are best seen through the person Jesus Christ and in the lives of believers.  So when we speak of the glory of God we refer to the weightiness of his person and reputation, the fullness of His presence in the earth, the visible manifestation of His attributes and character, and the full expression of his nature all wrapped in one!

The glory you gave me… I GIVE THEM!!!

DO you catch what you have and what needs to be shown? It is more than what you see at conferences! That is nothing compared to YOU!!! You are more precious that gold and rubies!

3.)  The glory of God reveals His image:

After spending 6 days speaking worlds into existence and bringing forth the lower forms of life, God in His infinite wisdom created His masterpiece design….MAN.

Genesis 1:26-28 “God said, “Let us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, birds of the air, the beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God he created him; male and female He created them. And God blessed them and said to them, be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth, and subdue it and have dominion..”

When God set out to create man, he purposed in his heart to fashion something unlike anything he ever made including the earth itself!

These verses show 2 things that sets you and I apart from anyting he ever created.

1.)  We were created in the image of God himself

2.)  We were created to have dominion over the earth

God said, “Let us make man in our image”

The Hebrew word  tselem (image) means resemblance or representation.

Being created in his image means that He gave us His moral and spiritual nature. In other words, God created us to be like Him in nature, character, and attributes.

*****All Creation displays God’s glory, but only man was made in

His image!

Psalms 8: 1-6 “ O Lord , how excellent (majestic and glorious) is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory on (or above) the heavens. When I view and consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained and established, What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than God and you crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; You have put all things under his feet.”

Ephesians 1:14-23  A must read

4.)  The glory of God reveals the genuine from counterfeits:

The greater the glory the greater the judgement.

The hotter the fire the more it reveals

The closer the glory of God gets to us the more it reveals.

The art world knows counterfeits.

For someone who knows what to look for, the telltale characteristics of any master artist are displayed in their work.

Banking institutions are trained to look for counterfeits.  How?

Not by studing examples of counterfeits but by handleing the genuine. Once they handle the real thing they can tell a fake.

All of creation exists to express, to reveal, to display and to manifest the glory of God.

The glory of God revealed should revealed, expressed and reflected should not only express Gods true nature but change the atmosphere of which it comes in contact with.

We were created to expose his Glory. Not even the angels were created in God’s image!

We can fulfill our purpose as carriers and exposers of God’s glory only as we live in the right environment and maintain a right relationship with God.

Sin distorts the image of God. It reflects a counterfeit.  God’s love  for his highest creation (MAN) was so great that He would do whatever was necessary to restore sinfil man to his original position of intimate relationship in the environment of his creators presence!!

1.)  Glory resides in every created thing

2.)  The glory of God is the full nature of God on display

3.)  God created everthing with glory

4.)  God created everything to manifest its glory

5.)  God is pleased when glory is seen

6.)  God created us to expose His glory

All creation displays God’s glory, but only man was made in his image
