Never Misrepresent your productBy Pastor Bobby

Key to success #3

NEVER MISREPRESENT YOUR PRODUCT

One of my favorite authors Mike Murdock said, “Give another what he cant find anywhere else and he will keep returning.”

Liars Are Eventually Exposed.

“Don’t repay evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men,” (Romans 12:17).  The New International Version says, “Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.”

It may take weeks or even months, but the truth always surfaces. “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper,” (Proverbs 28:13). Anyone who does business with you wants the truth. The total truth. People fear misrepresentation. Jesus had the greatest product on earth: salvation. He offered the human race an opportunity to have a relationship with God. He spoke of Heaven and angels. “In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you,”

(John 14:2). But, He never painted a distorted picture. He warned His disciples of persecution. “But beware of men: for they will deliver you up

to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues,” (Matthew 10:17).

He spoke of their afflictions. “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for My name’s sake,” (Matthew 24:9).

He spoke of loneliness. “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay His head,” (Matthew 8:20). Have you have heard of the phrase, “a lonely nester”? I often wonder why people have felt so lonely at times. There are a buffet or reasons but in keep with this key today, I would suggest that guilt and manipulation are cousins to misrepresentation. In other words if you lie about your product for the sake of the sale then the reason you are lonely is you can face anyone with the truth. I remember years ago while still traveling with our family in evangelism a group called the Rex Nelon Singers. They were a southern gospel group and had just finished a concert when they retreated quickly to the MortorCoach. Some were offended but there was safety in the home. It was the retreat center on wheels. We had compassion because I can honestly say that now Im 52, I have thousands of acquaintances but very few “friends”. You say, “what does this statement have to do with anything?”  The person you never want to misrepresent is yourself. Present yourself as upright and honest and you will never have to be alone because people will magnetically migrate to you like white on rice.

Jesus believed in preparing people for any possible situation that could happen. He was honest. His teaching was far more than a “pie in the sky” philosophy.

Listen to the Apostle Paul. “Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep,” (2 Corinthians 11:24-25).

This certainly does not sound like the most ideal sales talk to a group of students in Bible School. Paul did not misrepresent his product either.

Jesus spoke to many people of the good things and the benefits of what He offered. But, He was also quick to talk to them about the total picture, so they would be prepared to face their trials.

Address the benefits. Focus on the advantages that your product or your business will offer to another person. But never forget that an honest relationship is worth one hundred sales.

Your Integrity Will Always Be Remembered Longer Than Your Product. There are tons of benefits of network marketing as well.

1.)  New friendships

2.)  Travel

3.)  Freedom

4.)  You are your own boss

There are some pitfalls as well that I don’t want to spend time on but I do want to address one thing.  As you purpose in your heart to not misrepresent yourself,  your product or your company, keep integrity and honesty at the forefront of all your decisions. If you have a issue with something avoid needless chatter and always go directly to the source. Never seek the advice and thoughts of those closely connected with the one you have a grievance with. Go directly to the source. This way you will never be accused of misrepresentation.

With the help of Mick Murdock today have a super blessed day.
